Wooden fountain pen with Coral
Treasures of the Earth - Coral - The very name of this pen points to the materials used in its construction and to the remarkable story behind them. Black oak, also known as bog oak, fossil oak, or Polish ebony, is one of the rarest and most fascinating natural materials. For hundreds, and sometimes thousands, of years it rested in water, peat bogs, or river sediments, where, without access to oxygen, it did not decompose in the usual way, but slowly changed its color and structure. Under the influence of iron salts, minerals, and tannins, the wood gained a deep, almost black tone, becoming denser, heavier, and more difficult to work with. It is a material of extraordinary presence - raw, dignified, and filled with time recorded in every grain. In our pen, black oak is combined with natural coral, which forms a noble inlay on the barrel and brings a completely different character to the composition. Coral, valued for centuries as an ornamental material and amulet, adds organic delicacy, a maritime history, and a subtle contrast to the dark, ancient wood. This is a meeting of two worlds - earth and sea, deep time hidden in the wood and the natural elegance of coral structure. The whole piece becomes an object full of history, craftsmanship, and natural nobility - a pen for someone who appreciates materials with a soul, true uniqueness, and elegance rooted in nature.
