Synthetic opal fountain pen
Blue opal #OLP380 - Opals are characterized by opalescence, i.e. a color change when the stone moves. The effect that causes iridescence is the refraction, splitting and reflection of light on small silica balls inside the mineraloid. In this case, the presence of "ordered" structures is necessary - parallel planes, the more densely packed, the more intense the play of colors. Our pen is made of synthetic opal and has a basic light blue color, on which beautiful opalization is visible. Interestingly, an intense orange green color dominates here, and beautiful pink opalization also appears. The whole thing is very effective and dynamic. The entire pen is made of synthetic opal and only the black flow and the Jowo nib are made of a different material.
