Description
Synthetic opal fountain pen
Andean opal - another version of our opals is noble pink, opaque and with golden pink opalization. It is hard to find such opals in nature, but that does not mean it is impossible. Our attention was caught by pink opals from Peru called Andean. A beautiful pastel color from milky pink to salmon pink and pink characterizes opals obtained from the Andes. Often, these opals have delicate yellow-brown inclusions called fire. Local residents consider them a gift from Pachamama, the oldest Inca goddess of fertility and Mother Earth. In metaphysics, it is believed to be associated with emotional healing, inner peace and love. It helps to give birth to stress and emotional fatigue, which is very important these days. It is worth mentioning here that the pen was made of artificial opal. This material is made from tiny silica crystals embedded in resin and just like in the real thing the arrangement and density of the silica grains in the matrix creates these opalescent yellow and pink colours. The entire pen is made from synthetic opal with only the feed and the two-tone Bock nib being made from a different material.
