For some time now, we have been thinking about presenting our work to you, but a bit from the inside. We would like to show you how fountain pens are made, how they differ, what influences their price and some interesting facts and tidbits from our work. If you have any questions or are particularly interested in something, let me know.

Part 1. Types of fountain pens – Fittings

We will start by describing our fountain pens and their mysterious names. At the beginning, we divided the pens into those with fittings and those made entirely by us. Fountain pens with fittings are simpler to produce and slightly less time-consuming. We buy ready-made fittings, i.e. all metal elements, and our work focuses on producing the body and cap. For this we use wood, resin, various elements embedded in resin, and sometimes glued materials. This is how our cheaper pens are made. Their names Magnetic, Majestic, Manager or Hurricane depend on the type of fittings. In this case, we can have pens that vary in size - type of fitting and material - i.e. what the body and cap are made of. In this case, the nib has one size of the M line, depending on the model, smaller #5 and larger #6, they are very pleasant to use. It is worth mentioning that with this type of pens we can also make a ball pen or pencil. Therefore, an entire fitting set can be created in a similar color and made of the same material.
